Announcement of Vacancy on the Board of Trustees
 

The Cucamonga School District Board of Trustees is accepting applications to fill the vacancy for the remaining term of the Trustee Area 2 seat. Any person eligible to hold office may obtain an application from the Office of the Superintendent, 8776 Archibald Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730, from Monday, August 3, 2026, through Friday, August 21, 2026, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday, August 21, 2026, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or on the Cucamonga School District Website.

In accordance with Education Code Section 35107, to be eligible to be elected or appointed as a member of a governing board of a school district, an interested party must be:

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• A resident of the State of California.
• Resident in the Cucamonga School District Trustee Area 2.
• Registered to vote.
• Not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the State from holding a civil office.

Note: Employees of the district are eligible to serve on the Board; however, prior to taking office, the employee must resign from district employment.

Interested parties who meet the legal mandates for membership on the Board of Trustees are invited to submit the application, resume, and a letter of interest detailing their qualifications to:

The deadline for candidates to submit their application for this position is 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026. Incomplete application packages will not be considered. The Board will interview finalists on Thursday, August 27, 2026, which begins at 4:00 p.m. in the District Office Board Room. The Board will announce its decision on Thursday, September 10, 2026, and seat the new member at the October 8, 2026, regularly scheduled Board meeting.
