What is DAAPAC?

The purpose of the DAAPAC is to involve and engage the parents/caregivers of African-American students in the decision-making processes leading to improving the quality of education for African American students.

GOALS:

ACADEMICS
At the District level, decrease the percent of students in the “Not Met” category by 10% in ELA and 8% in math.

ATTENDANCE
At the District level, decrease chronic absenteeism by 2%.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT
Average 15 parents at each DAAPAC meeting.

STUDENT WELLNESS & PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY
Host two interactive workshops for parents to provide tools for student wellness and building psychological safety for Black students.
