Dear Cucamonga School District Families,
Last night, Rancho Cucamonga Middle School hosted the dedication of the newly remodeled B Wing at Rancho Cucamonga Middle School. A huge thank you goes to Mr. Collins and his team for setting up this event. In addition, this state-of-the-art math and science facility, complete with cutting-edge technology, is a testament to our district’s commitment to providing the best for our students. I always want to thank and give credit to the members of our board of education (past and present), district leadership, staff, parents, and members of our amazing community for your support and collaboration which have been essential. This building is a gift to our students and staff, and I hope it will inspire creativity, innovation, problem solving, and success for many years to come. Attached, you will find some photos from the event.
This week, we had the opportunity to visit Cucamonga Elementary School, where we witnessed firsthand the school’s commitment to creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment. In classrooms, small group instruction is a priority, with teachers engaging students through activities like Blooket and collaborative writing reviews to enhance their learning experience. Upper-grade students were diving into lessons on resilience as part of the Portrait of a Graduate (POG) initiative, helping them develop essential life skills. Literacy support is also a key focus, with small group interventions such as Orton-Gillingham, while robotics activities and block coding are empowering students to build problem-solving and technology skills. At Cucamonga Elementary, a positive atmosphere is cultivated in a variety of ways. Attached, you will find some photos from our visit.
As we approach the fall break, we want to extend our warmest wishes to all of our students and their families. May this well-deserved break offer you relaxation, quality time with loved ones, and the joy of the season. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for the next chapter of learning!
Take Care, Michael Chaix, Ed.D. Superintendent |
