Dear Cucamonga School District Parents and Guardians,

I am excited to share that this week we had the opportunity to visit Los Amigos Elementary School, where we enjoyed a wonderful walkthrough of the classrooms. Teachers were utilizing the OG program for small group instruction, engaging with students and fostering a positive learning environment.

We also visited Cucamonga Elementary School, we were thrilled to observe Ms. Munoz as she introduced robotics coding to our first graders. This hands-on experience not only promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also ignites a passion for technology at an early age. We are proud of our teachers for providing innovative learning opportunities for our students.

Lastly, I was honored to substitute teach in Mrs. O’Regan’s middle school computer science class today. The students were engaged in advanced topics like three-dimensional programming and storytelling, showcasing projects that far surpass what many adults experienced in school. They designed various projects, including creating a home from scratch. Initiatives like these can inspire students and foster a passion that leads to successful careers. This work aligns perfectly with our vision for the portrait of a graduate.

Have a great weekend!

SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT

Cucamonga Elementary School

By Principal Dr. Jenna Garretson-Tremayne

CES is thrilled to share the exciting news about the success of our recent Bubble Run Fundraiser! Thanks to the tremendous support and enthusiasm from our entire school community, the event was a resounding success filled with joy, laughter, and fun.

It was wonderful to see students, staff, and parents come together to enjoy the festivities. From the energetic runners to the cheerful volunteers, the spirit of the day was truly contagious. The bubbles added a touch of magic, making it a day to remember for everyone involved.

We are proud to announce that we raised just over $14,000, making this the most successful fundraiser CES has had in years! These funds will be placed directly into our incentives fund, which will be used to support celebratory events and prizes throughout the school year. This means more fun activities, special rewards, and memorable experiences for our students as we celebrate their hard work and achievements.

We couldn’t have done this without parent dedication and participation. Thank you to all parents and community members who contributed, whether through donations, volunteering, or simply cheering on our runners. Your continued support helps make our school an even more vibrant and exciting place to learn and grow.
